Who are the Qur’an classes for?
Our Qur’an education programme is for children aged 4 to 16 (under 18s).
Classes are structured to suit different ages and levels, ensuring children learn at an appropriate pace.
How are children placed into classes?
All children begin with an initial assessment.
This helps us understand:
- Current Qur’an reading ability
- Familiarity with Tajweed
- Appropriate starting level
This ensures children are not rushed or held back unnecessarily.
What is the focus of your Qur’an teaching?
Our primary focus is correct Qur’an recitation with Tajweed.
We emphasise:
- Accurate pronunciation of letters
- Applying Tajweed rules correctly
- Consistent, confident reading
Tajweed is taught as correct recitation, not performance or vocal style.
Do children only learn to read, or do they also learn about Islam?
Alongside Qur’an reading, children are taught:
- The Six Kalimah
- Articles of Faith
- Memorisation of selected Surahs
- Selected Ahadith
- Core Islamic beliefs and practices
- Simple lessons from the verses they read
This ensures a balanced Islamic foundation, not isolated learning.
Are classes online or in person?
- Boys: In-person and online options
- Girls: Online classes
All classes follow the same structured curriculum and safeguarding expectations.
How often are classes held?
Children’s Qur’an classes are held Monday to Friday, supporting consistency and steady progress.

Classes are delivered by teachers who:
- Teach within the Sunni Hanafi (Ahl-e-Sunnat wal Jama‘at) tradition
- Follow a structured curriculum
- Maintain clear professional and safeguarding standards

How do you ensure children’s safety?

What is the Weekly Dars-e-Hadith, and should my child attend?
The Weekly Dars-e-Hadith is a short, structured session held on Mondays (5:00–5:45pm).
It supports:

Children enrolled in the Qur’an programme are encouraged to attend where possible.
Is the Qur’an programme free or paid?
Details regarding fees or arrangements are shared during the enquiry process.

Do you offer adult classes for parents?
Yes. We offer Adult Islamic Learning for parents and other adults who wish to strengthen their own understanding of Islam.
